Sara’s 1st Haircut!
Sara was fed up with me constantly putting her hair in a ponytail on the top of her head. She’d pull it out seconds after I’d get it in there. Since it was the only way to keep her hair out of her eyes, we decided it was time for a haircut. We went to… Continue reading Sara’s 1st Haircut!
Whooohooooo!!
Stitches are O-U-T!! Doc says I am healing nicely and I was able to bend my knee 90 degrees!! Yeeeee-ha! The BEST thing was taking a shower tonite WITHOUT Saran wrap on my knee! 🙂

Crutches and Percoset and bandages…oh my!
Wow. What a day it was yesterday! We got to the surgical center at 10:30 and went right to pre-op. I got to wear a LOVELY (and drafty) gown and these amazing booger green slipper socks. 24 Hours to go
A little more than 24 hours to go until Amy’s surgery. I’ve taken tomorrow and Friday off in order to take care of both my girls during Amy’s ‘recouperation’. The weirdest part about the whole thing is that I feel like this is the first ‘surgery’ that has affected both of us to some extent.… Continue reading 24 Hours to go
The dreaded “S” word.
No, not THAT word! 🙂 “S” as in surgery. Yuck. Not fun. Not looking forward to it. It hasn’t been scheduled yet but it will probably be sometime this month. Doc isn’t even sure the exact “type”. Once he “gets in there” (ew!), he’ll know. He’ll either repair the tear in the medial meniscus or… Continue reading The dreaded “S” word.
MRI
Wow. No one said it was going to be THAT loud! Even with earplugs it felt like I was surrounded by jackhammers! Luckily it only lasted about 25 minutes. Anymore and I would have gotten a little freaked out. They sent a report and the films to my orthopedic doctor and I see him on… Continue reading MRI
